From October 18 to 20, 2024, the Academy of Aphasia was held in Nara, Japan. Members of NABLe, who had been diligently preparing their poster presentations, attended the conference with great anticipation. This year’s conference featured a wide range of presentations highlighting the latest developments in the field of neurolinguistics. Following the sessions, participants engaged in open and thoughtful discussions, which allowed them to deepen and expand their perspectives.
Throughout the three-day program, poster presentations took place, and NABLe members contributed with a variety of topics. By sharing their research processes and findings, they had the opportunity to exchange ideas and reflect on the future directions of their work.
One of the NABLe master’s students who attended the conference shared, “This opportunity allowed me to deepen my understanding of neurolinguistics and reflect on the mindset I should cultivate as a future researcher.” They also expressed their sincere gratitude, saying, “I am truly thankful to Professor Jee Eun Sung for making it possible for us to take part in such a meaningful experience.” It was a valuable and enriching time for NABLe to participate in this international gathering, where knowledge and insights about neurolinguistics were shared across borders.
